Hey y’all,
I’ve updated the ‘shows’ section. Gonna be doing some shows in late June. Also, Big Whoop is happening in Columbus in July, which I’m very excited about. Then, in late August, I’ll be doing a short tour with Two Hand Fools and Worship This. Two of Cleveland’s finest. That should be very fun as well. I’ll probably play some shows here and there around Ohio, so be sure to check back. Been going through insane personal things. I think I’ll emerge the best person I can possibly be if I make it through this shit. Anyways, I hope everyone’s enjoying life.

So, tour is over. It was fun. I got back to Columbus for two days, felt incredibly lost and strange, went to Chicago and played a show, then came to Cleveland for a week. It’s been very good to be back home for a little. And I think I’ll be moving back very soon.
Just had a very good conversation with my mother. Made me tear up when she said:
“When you sing…that’s where you’re supposed to be. And anyone who watches and listens, that’s where they’re supposed to be. And you affect each other. And I think that the reason why we are here is to feel a sense of goodness and wholeness. Because life should feel good.”
Then, she basically shared with me why she could no longer support belief systems that she found to be personally restrictive and oppressive on many levels. These beliefs had been a part of her life for many years. It was a very vulnerable and real conversation in a car outside of my sister’s house. It was exactly what I needed. I’ve felt very uncertain and anxious for the last few weeks and it felt good to have someone so close to me remind me that life should feel good. And it feels good when you sing. Or when you laugh. Or when you make someone laugh. Or when you dance. Or when you express yourself. Or when you interact. Or when you witness interactions of affection or love. Or when you allow and attempt empathy. Or when you read. Or when you admire your friends. Or when you hug someone.
I don’t know. I’m losing my mind every single day.
Hopefully I’ll record some music before my mind explodes.
